• Old website was outdated
  • https://rss.rd.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/ (has changed since freest’s website was created)
• we transitioned to GitHub and this website was hosted in a FCUL machine
• we wanted for it to be more complete with information
  • better download page
  • tutorial page(s)
  • FreeST standard libraries documentation
  • team page
  • (future) integrated TryIt page (http://gloss.di.fc.ul.pt/tryit/FreeST)
• necessity to join RSS, TryIt and others in a single website that was easy to update
• recreate something similar to other languages
